Cowboys & Little Bears Adventure
Day 1, Monday- arrival around noon, participate in lunch and meet the other guests. In the afternoon children's program (Little Bears Kid's Club).
Little Bears Kid's Club is fun, outdoor educational program for children aged 4 to 12. Children enjoy a host of adventures designed to inspire and foster an appreciation for the outdoors and provide education on human history and tradition. From learning to care animals at the Barn, to exploring the banks of Ranch creek for local flora and fauna, Little Bears will reconnect with the natural world and broaden their horizons. If the day is rainy, our Studio Hall becomes a platform for arts and crafts, board games, dance party or a movie theater, complete with homemade popcorn.
Day 2, Tuesday morning options include: Natural horsemanship demonstration or riding lesson and geocaching and Tuesday afternoon include: two hours trail ride.
Natural horsemanship: Although the term itself is often overused and misunderstood, we relate this to what we consider our own variation, Linden Tree horsemanship. What this means to the guest is that the experience is bound to go far beyond that of a typical head-to-trail ride.
Your understanding of communication between yourself and your horse is what will be only discovered but also advanced and understood. It is again one way that we are able to take your horseback riding experience from ordinary to extraordinary. Although we consider this type of training to constantly be taking place, we also like to help our guests understand what it is that we after in implementing such techniques.
Riding lesson: All horseback riding at Linden Tree is designed to ensure both safety and pleasure. The Ranch is pleased to offer a variety of lessons related to the safe and comfortable riding of our stable of horses. For the beginner, or someone returning to the saddle, we offer a riding school to hone skills and confidence. Private and group riding lessons are available.
Day 3, Wednesday morning is a day trip to Ghost town. Options include riding on horseback, riding at the back of jeep and hiking.
Day trip to Ghost Town: Treat yourself with an extraordinary day and experience the mountain country like never before either on a horseback, in the back of a jeep or on foot. All participants rendezvous in the Ghost Town, abandoned village deep in the mountain. We provide a tasty lunch and interesting facts about the town, the land, Croatia's wildlife, and flora. Enjoy a day full of majestic scenery, exceptional moments, fantastic photos of landscapes and guaranteed fun.
Day 4, Thursday morning options: Hike to the Cathedral cave and trail ride, two hours and afternoon options are: trail ride, two hours and Little Bears Kid's Club.
Hike to the Cathedral cave: Close to the Ranch, there is a cave, prehistoric gathering place, shrouded in mystery, legend, and lore. The story is older than the memory of the people who pass it from generation to generation. The Cathedral, as the cave is known locally, is an unusual geologic formation, bio diversity depository and a source of two springs that generously supply the valley with the purest drinking water. The like is suitable for all generations and skill levels.
2-hour trail ride: The two-hour horseback riding program is the shortest riding program on the ranch with which you can start your cowboy adventure. Inhale the glorious scent of saddle leather mingled with wildflowers and sun-warmed pine.
Delight in the simple luxury of experience - the power of a strong and willing horse beneath you, the freedom of the frontier - and satisfy your yearning for the adventure. This scenic ride goes through the valley with spectacular views, stream crossing, gorges, and meadows.
Day 5, Friday morning: cowboy breakfast, and after a day trip to a lake and Lika river. Options to get there include canoe of riding at the back of a jeep.
Cowboy breakfast is more of an activity than a meal. All guests are invited to participate in the preparation. For children making authentic prairie flapjacks in cast iron skillet is epic fun. Adults get a brief course in coffee roasting on the open fire and indulge in preparing bacon and eggs from Ranch hens. We enjoy this gathering in a circle around a fire pit, sitting on hay bales, while birds and sun bring new day.
Day trip to a lake and Lika river: Spending a day on the water, canoeing, exploring the banks of the river or glimpsing wild animals (if you are lucky you may see a bear fishing) are good for body and soul. If you choose o canoe all the way, it is a healthy exercise, but one not too strenuous. You can opt to come with the jeep to the lake and pick up canoe there, going as far as hydro dam, a marvel of human engineering. We provide a tasty lunch under a picnic hut and interesting facts about nature, lake, and river.

Day 7, Sunday morning options are trail ride, 2 hours and Sunday afternoon options are: wagon ride followed by barbecue and cowboy dance.

The journey will take you close to the farms that produce milk and dairy products for the Ranch to experience organic farming first hand and see where our food comes from. Try your hand at driving our team of horses and earn bragging rights!
Barbecue and cowboy dance: Put on your boots, hat and bandanna on, and head down to the barn to give cowboys a hand at preparing the feast of the week.
